Celebrating New Learning Spaces in Bordon

Last week, Bordon Infant and Junior Schools welcomed representatives from Hampshire County Council, the University of Chichester Academy Trust, and our construction partners to mark the completion of an ambitious 18‑month building programme.

We were delighted to be joined by Councillor Roz Chadd, Lead Member for Children’s Services at Hampshire County Council, and Jennese Alozie, CEO of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, along with teams from Morgan Sindall and Mace — both well‑established national construction and project‑delivery specialists who have worked closely with us throughout the development.

The visit began with a whole‑school assembly where Councillor Chadd and Jennese Alozie spoke with pupils about how the new spaces will support their learning and futures. Children also shared their own reflections on settling into the refurbished classrooms.

Headteachers Chris James and Matt Greenhalgh then led a tour of the upgraded facilities, including bright new classrooms, a dedicated music room, enhanced SEN support spaces, and two staffrooms designed to strengthen wellbeing and collaboration.

This project represents more than new buildings. It reflects our trust’s commitment to Achieve More, Challenge Thinking and Shape Futures, and the impact that strong partnership working can have for our communities.

“This project has been a wonderful example of collaboration,” the Headteachers shared. “We are delighted to be able to offer our children such inspiring learning spaces.”

A huge thank you to everyone involved — a true demonstration of what can be achieved when we work together across education, local authority partners, and industry expertise.
